We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
So one of my workmates brought this book to my attention and I kid you not, I finished reading it in just a matter of minutes. Granted it is a relatively small book but I just could not put it down once I started reading it. I have since bought a digital copy for myself.
Before I read this book I had never identified myself as a feminist. For as long as I can remember, the word feminist has always had negative connotations; “an angry woman who hates men”. I have never hated men nor do I hate them now, but is there gender inequality, yes there is.
I relate to this book so much that it’s scary and comforting at the same time to know that my thoughts and experiences with regards to this issue are not just mine alone.
This is not a review of this book as there is nothing I could say that would do it any justice. I simply hope you will get the chance to read the book and make your own conclusions.
I do hope more and more people get to read this book.
Hope you are all well and I will talk to you in my next post.
