Skincare: Alya Skin Pink Clay Mask Review

*Please note that I received the Alya Skin Pink Clay Mask for free for testing purposes however my review is 100% honest and unbiased.

It's no secret that I am obsessed with skincare and it's absolutely important to me to keep my skin looking and feeling healthy and even more so now that I have cut my hair.

Just today I had a colleague ask me if I have always had a nose ring; I have been wearing one for the past 10 years so you best believe that pimples and blemishes will now even be more noticeable.

Alya Skin is an Australian brand that I wasn't familiar with before they reached out to me and as someone with sensitive skin, I am always skeptical to try new things as I do not want to irritate my skin. After looking a little more into the brand and reading the positive reviews regarding their clay mask, I decided to give it a go and I am so glad that I did.

On their website, the mask claims to:

Detoxify & Brighten your skin

Safe for sensitive skin types.

Tighten your skins pores

Extract pollutants and nasties from your skin

Assist in the removal of acne and pimples

One of the reasons why I loved this clay mask is that it is completely vegan and cruelty free with natural ingredients. Some of the ingredients in the mask are:

Kaolin Clay – this is known for removing toxins and pollutants. Pink kaolin clay is pretty much a mixture of the white and red kaolin clays which is the perfect combination for those with sensitive skin. It soothes easily irritable skin and skin prone to breakouts, rashes and redness. The benefits of Kaolin Clay on the skin are pretty much endless.

Aloe Vera – this helps to reduce skin inflammation. Aloe vera helps in cooling and soothing the skin. It also helps in healing the skin which again is perfect for sensitive and easily irritable skin.

Witch Hazel – this is one of the best remedies for acne prone skin. It helps to remove excess oil from the skin and it also speeds up the healing process of blemishes.

Directions for use:

The clay mask has a very smooth texture and it is so easy to apply to the skin. You can use your hands or a brush if you wish. Apply a thin, even layer over the skin and leave for 10 minutes. The clay mask does dry down so you will have to rinse it off with warm water.

Having now tried the clay mask, I have to say that it definitely delivers on all it's claims. My skin is both oily and sensitive and I could instantly see the results after just the first use. My skin felt soft and refreshed and it instantly looked brighter and my pores reduced. It also didn't irritate my skin which is a major plus and I will definitely continue to use this clay mask.
