Style: Nothing Says Summer Like Sandals and Espadrilles

JESSICA Espadrilles: ASOS                                                   DAPHNEY Sandals: JustFabUK

Hi guys,

So it’s currently raining in London right now as I am writing this but I’m not letting that stop me from being all summer inspired.

So, I have never owned a pair of espadrilles before and I was browsing through ASOS, as you do, and I came across these JESSICA espadrilles which I absolutely fell in love with that I immediately ordered them.

Around the same time, I came across these block heeled sandals on Instagram, (which I have seen quite a few bloggers wearing),  I noticed that JustFab had something similar and so I decided to get them from there as I had a store credit to use.

So I thought I would do a mini review of both pairs for you incase you are looking for something similar for this summer.

Comfort:

The number one thing that I always consider when buying my shoes (be it heels, flats, trainers etc) is comfort. I don’t see the point in buying shoes that you will never wear/enjoy wearing because they are not comfortable on your feet.

I have worn both pairs once and have had a good amount of walking in both of them to be able to have an opinion on them. The JESSICA espadrilles are by far the most comfortable pair of shoes that I own, I literally felt like I was walking on clouds when I wore them, I had no issues whatsoever.
The DAPHNEY sandals feel comfortable on your feet when you put them on however walking in them is another story. The heel is comfortable however the strap (by the toes) did rub against my skin after walking in them for a while and did cause some light bruising. They are pretty much my size and therefore do not need any breaking into so I don’t know if the rubbing will stop over time or not. That aside, I would still classify them as being relatively comfortable.

Style:

I would give both shoes 5 stars for style as I love lace ups which they both have and they really are right on trend, and of course they are black, my favourite colour. Both pairs do however come in different colours and I am very much tempted to buy the JESSICA espadrilles in the leopard print as well.

I do think that both pairs could potentially dress up/dress down any outfit.

All in all, I like them both for different reasons and I will no doubt wear them out and honestly I’m just waiting for the weather to get on board.
